Waterway Fun for Kids
Today, the weather was perfect. My front yard has a waterway that flows and flows with joy. The water doesn't get too deep or narrow; it's just right. So we can enjoy this as our playground.
The water is all up high. Women are everywhere—women, men, children—are taking turns washing their hands on the clean water. When they're done, there's something fuzzy in the air. From far away, I see these pretty things: little fish, birds, and small animals floating by. The women keep scrolling away as the sun shines bright. The kids don't get to see what’s happening elsewhere—the waterway is their world.
Over time, people notice that the water is running out because no one wants to come around. Some kids are quick to act. When someone gets the first chance at acting, others step in. It's like fighting for the water. A little spillage can set off an explosion of competition and danger.
One day, a kid accidentally spilled water on me. I got angry, but it was only a splashing splash. The girl beside me just laughed as she went with it. We continued our water play. People were happy to be in the waterway today because they could all have fun and even swim.
By day's end, we had lots of fish in the waterway. Some kids had already gone back and forth on their own teams. The people in charge kept it going until the sun went down. At night, when the light was off, I found some more creatures swimming. Their energy made me smile. We even saw a bigger fish come out to play with us.
The waterway had given them all so much fun today. It taught me that we still love these little places in our yards and waterways. Plus, they gave me peace when I realized how much of the sky was filled with colorful creatures today.
When it's done, one day maybe? If we go on a field trip or some kind of adventure out there next time, I'll still remember this amazing place in my heart and mind.

i live near a big river. the waterway is really nice. when it's full, waves crash into me. i can swim across because the water is super fast. sometimes, people come to take a test. they run up, splash into the water. it’s fun. i like that waterway because there are so many creatures here.
the first thing that happens when it's full of fish is that some kids come and play. other times, it gets too crowded. some people leave or join in to make it better. i always get tired of watching the kids splash into the water. but it’s fun whenever they’re on the ride.
the waterway has these little pink ducks. they swim back and forth, chasing each other. i love them. when one gets caught, everyone laughs. it’s a beautiful place to be in
when the water is done, there are more creatures here. sometimes, they come out and play with me. my family can see these little guys swim into the waterway every morning.

tiger waterway adventure
i live by a big river. one day, it gets really full with water and fish. the waterway seems super fun to watch. when someone splash into the water, their feet get wet quickly. no one notices them until way back when they try to take a test.
the kids splash into the water everywhere. some are on bikes or boats, others just jump off the bank. i can see the water rushing by me. it’s so fast! but it's super fun watching that water rush past me.
when someone catches someone else, they all laugh. it’s like a game. everyone is trying to be the first one to splash into the water or test. even though we’re busy, there’s always something new happening
the tiger waterway is so beautiful. lots of creatures swim here. some are pink ducks and others are colorful fish. they all love each other and the waterway.
when it's empty, no one goes back to the river. but i love that there’s always a place for these little creatures to swim in
